A War against Christmas. . . Decorations
by Aubrey Zich
In a new variation to Christmas decorations, a Road Island man decorates his house in the theme of “Parish Hilton.”
Who wouldn’t want to come home and see Paris Hilton? Okay, maybe only Joe Moretti of Crankston, Road Island. Instead jumping on the bandwagon with the recent fad of inflatable Elves and Santas that everyone seems to have these days; Moretti decorated his house with an equally ridiculous ornament, Paris Hilton. CNN.com Reports: Moretti's display features a collection of blown-up images of Hilton adorned with pink lights. . . includes a list entitled "How to Be a Hilton," complete with tips such as: "An entrance is everything," "NEVER wake before 10 a.m." and "NEVER spend the summer in NYC." Moretti claims that he didn’t intend to offend anyone with his decorations; he just wanted to bring a little glamour and let his neighborhood “see a little bit of Hollywood or New York.” And after passing three blocks of identical houses with the same lights, reindeer and inflatable Santa who wouldn’t want a change—even if it is Paris Hilton.
