Unusual Gifts for iPod Junkies
Looking for that unique holiday gift?
All right, let’s face it, when it comes to finding just the right present these days, the challenge seems insurmountable at times. Trying to find something in your price range that is unique is definitively challenging, but trying to find something that makes a bit of a statement makes it doubly difficult.

However, if you’re looking for a couple of options that turn the holidays into times to make a point, even as you try to give a gift that keeps on giving, I think I have a couple of choices that fit the right techie in a way that makes a bit of a statement, delivering it with just a touch of attitude.

First, there is the iGuy, posable action figure, better known as the iGuy iPod protection specialist. iGuy is described as the first bendable and posable friend for both the user and his or her iPod. The iGuy is completely functional, offering rubberized protection for all fourth generation iPods, protecting each from bumps, scratches and even being dropped. It comes complete with a removable screen protector that offers extra protection for that display screen and of course moveable parts that allow for some additional play options.

The iGuy comes in three models, mini iGuy, iguy nano, and the standard iGuy and is available at ThinkGeek.com for $34.99. You need to check out the site just to see their descriptors that make this a perfect tongue-in-cheek gift.

Another interesting option with some additional attitude is a set of fully inflatable speakers. You can just conjure up the phrases you can write in that Christmas card, a card that you insist must be opened before the present. Phrases such as “Blow up the item in the enclosed box and get some really good vibrations.” These inflatable speakers can be used with almost any electronic device, desktop and laptop computers, portable audio players including portable cd players and all forms of Minidisc players. These inflatable Speakers literally broadcast sound over a 360 degree radius, making them ideal for BBQs or other outdoor events. But though they appear to be airtight, the sellers indicate that they will take on water if you float them around in your swimming pool.

Throw in the latest adaptations, speakers shaped like and sporting the label of a Budweiser can, and the fact that deflated they are barely two inches high, and you have a portable item that can be taken any where. These items are available at a wide variety of sites ranging from $15.00 to $50.00.

With the holiday season here, take a peek at the iGuy, iPod protection specialist or consider a set of fully inflatable speakers as gift options for the discriminating friend who collects all things technical.
