NBA - In The Paint
NBA Players Have It Too Good
Sometimes you wonder what NBA players are thinking when they open their mouths.
You know it's amazing to me that NBA players can complain about anything in this world. Look at their jobs: 82 times a year they have to play, and they are paid well no matter how they perform. So, you may wonder what their complaint is now? Players are being fined because their shorts are too long and they're not happy about it. Oh please - suck it up guys.

One who has voiced his opinion is Indiana Pacers star Jermaine O'Neal. He said it's not fair to be fined about the shorts. Well. excuse me Jermaine but some players in the NBA are paid 20 million dollars a year. Now if you divide that out, Jermaine, some players are making over 240,000 dollars a night.

Now maybe that's not a lot to you but to us everyday workers that's an enormous wad of cash. Our bosses don't let us come into work and wear whatever we like. There are rules in life no matter what kind of work you do. You pay me 240,000 a game and I will make sure I wear the proper length shorts. Players just don't get it I guess, and may need some help putting it in perspective. Maybe they could trade places with some workers from their city and earn a couple hundred dollars a week - see how much they like that, and maybe they won't complain about the shorts so much. Everyday citizens work hard for what money they get and it burns them when they see professional players complain about petty things.

Now don't get me wrong - some players grew up and lived through some harsh conditions and worked their butt off to get where they are today. You have to respect any player who has done that. There are a lot of good players in the NBA who never complain and go about their job.

I just wish those that grumble about such small things would realize how good they have it. Then they might think before they complain about being fined for their shorts being too long. Here's a hint: pull them up or use a safety pin. It always work for me.
